Hove and Spornes

A fabulous recreational area in Arendal where visitors can bask in the sun or enjoy watching the waves racing to the shore. At Hove and Spornes you can do it all – hiking, swimming, surfing, and much more! The area begins from the moraine within Raet National Park and extends up to the beach along the coast.
Hove is located on the southern half of Tromøya and is only a 10-minute drive from Arendal, but also accessible by boat. The area contains a large pine forest, and along it, you will also find Hovekilen, a great place to swim. The tracks also change from sandy beach to pebble beach and there are several kilometres of trails you can explore along the skerries. The hiking areas are frequently visited by children and adults both summer and winter
